About Us
The Bakersfield Police Department Homeland Security Unit works with local, state, and federal agencies to detect and deter domestic and international terrorist activities. We identify critical assets in our community and work with these private and public entities to mitigate the effects of a large scale disaster or attack if such an event should occur. Through proactive efforts of education, networking, and preparation the Bakersfield Police Department Homeland Security Unit works to enhance the safety and security of our citizens.
