VIRGINIA “Ginny” GENNARO —
City Attorney

Ginny received her undergraduate degree (Business Management) and law degree from Santa Clara University. Prior to joining the Bakersfield City Attorney’s Office, she worked locally in private practice for over seven years where she handled a variety of general business litigation matters. In 1995, she began her work as a municipal attorney. Over the years, she has been the primary attorney for the City Clerk, the Recreation & Parks Department, the Bakersfield Police Department, and the Planning and Subdivision sections within the City. Her appointment as City Attorney began on November 1, 2003. Ginny is married to Sean Farley, a teacher in the Panama Buena Vista School District.

JOSHUA H. RUDNICK - Deputy City Attorney
Joshua joined the office in September 2007.  Prior to joining the City Attorney's Office, he worked 10 years for the Greater Bakersfield Legal Assistance, Inc., practicing in the areas of fair housing, public housing, family and immigration law.  Joshua received his undergraduate degree in political science from UCLA, and a M.A. degree in Latin American Studies from San Diego State University.  Joshua earned his law degree from the California Western School of Law.

JUSTIN A. CRUMLEY - Associate Attorney
Justin joined the office in 2007. He received a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications from Indiana University-Bloomington, and earned a law degree from California Western School of Law. His previous work experience includes Securities Litigation and various Civil Litigation.

CHRISTINE IM - Associate Attorney
Christine joined the office in 2008.  She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine and obtained her law degree from Northeastern University School of Law.  During law school, Christine worked at the National Labor Relations Board, the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office, and in the Appeals, Writs and Trials Section of the Office of the Attorney General.  She also served as an extern for the Honorable Terry J. Hatter, Senior United States District Judge for the Central District of California. 

DEBBIE LUND — Legal Secretary
Debbie joined the office in 1996 as a legal secretary. Prior to joining the City Attorney's Office, she worked locally as a legal secretary. Debbie has 24 years experience in the legal field. Debbie became a notary for the City in 2000, and earned her Attorney Assistant Certificate from CSUB.

LINDA COHEN — Legal Secretary
Linda joined the office in 1998 as a receptionist. She was elevated to Legal Secretary in 1999. Prior to joining the City Attorney’s Office, she worked as a legal secretary on the east coast. Linda has 20 years experience in the legal field and earned her Attorney Assistant Certificate from CSUB.

VICTORIA LEON — Legal Secretary
Victoria joined the office in January, 2007 as a legal secretary. Prior to joining the City Attorney's office, she worked in Los Angeles County as a legal secretary for a private firm. Vicky started out as a receptionist in the private sector and was promoted to legal secretary. She has 17 years experience in the legal field.

ANDREW CADRIEL - Accounting Clerk
Andrew joined the office in February, 2007.  Prior to joining the City Attorney’s office, he worked as an Accounting Technician for Community Action Partnership of Kern.  Andrew has also worked as a Fiscal Assistant for Monterey Bay Unified Air Pollution Control District.  He has 12 years experience in the accounting field and earned his Associate in Applied Science degree in Accounting from Heald College in June of 1996.

THERESA FLORES — Clerk Typist
Theresa joined the office in November 2007.  Prior to joining the City Attorney’s office, she was a temp employee in the Risk Management Dept.  Work history includes 10 years for State Farm Insurance as a Data Entry Typist Clerk, Receptionist and Administration Assistant in the Agency Development Program.  Also, another 19 years with AT&T Communications/Pacific Bell Company. Theresa earned her Associate of Art Degree in Child Development from Bakersfield College.
