Professional Background
Jacquie Sullivan is a licensed realtor
and has been in the real estate business since 1979. She
is employed by Roberson Real Estate and also manages her
personally owned income rental property business..

Jacquie was born in Bakersfield and
is the mother of four children. In addition to her involvement
in political office and real estate, she defines herself
as a committed activist for AIDS education and awareness
and child protection and wellness. Her motivation stems from
the tragic AIDS-related death of her daughter, Joyce, in
1993. She is a frequent speaker at youth and civic groups
in her efforts to promote AIDS prevention and awareness.
In 2002, the Bakersfield City Council voted in favor of proudly and prominently
displaying the national motto of the United States of America, "In
God We Trust", in the City Council Chambers. Jacquie Sullivan
was the lead councilmember in this effort, and she considers it to be
her most important accomplishment since she has been in elected office.
In 2004, Councilmember Sullivan
organized "In God We Trust - America", a non-profit
organization. The goal is to encourage other cities
across America to follow Bakersfield's lead..
