| Feature Story: Beale Band Concerts
|
The Beale Band Concerts are a Bakersfield tradition that has been entertaining audiences for over 60 years. Five free concerts will be performed by the Bakersfield Municipal Band with music from the big band era. The concerts will start Sunday, May 31st at 8:00 p.m. at Beale Park, the corner of Oleander and Dracena. Bring your picnic baskets, lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a relaxing summer evening listening to some incredible music! Come early and watch local groups perform a pre-concert show starting at 7:30 p.m. Don’t miss this great family entertainment especially the special concert celebrating Independence Day on June 28th.
