About The City Skate Park
All ages are welcome, but parents may want to come cheer on their young ones.

Grab your skateboards and roller blades, but leave your bikes at home: they're not allowed. And don't forget your helmet, elbow pads and knee pads: they are required!
Skate Park Location:
You'll find the skate park toward the back of Beach
Park, off 21st and Oaks streets - behind the fitness club.
Skate Park Hours of Operation:
Park hours run from 5am to 10pm.
Skate Park Rules:
This park was built for you, the skaters. Take care of
it and each other. If you want to keep the park, follow the
rules. It's up to you.
Use of this facility
is a voluntary, potentially hazardous recreational activity.
Users and spectators voluntarily assume all risks and dangers
associated and incidental to this facility. The City of Bakersfield
will not be held liable for injuries incurred by users or
spectators of this skate park. Only in-line or roller skates
and skateboards are allowed within this facility.
In addition: any person using in-line skates, roller skates or skateboard in
the skate park must wear a helmet, elbow pads and knee pads or be subject to
citation

No food or drink allowed on the skating surface.

Be courteous. Take turns.

Additional ramps, jumps or other elements may not be brought into the park.

No skating on curbs, driveways or parking lots of surrounding area.

No alcohol, drugs or smoking.

No profanity.
All forms of graffiti or other defacing of City property is prohibited. Such activity may result in temporary closure of the facility and possible fine.
No formal contests of any kind shall be held without prior written approval of the Recreation and Parks Director.
Bicycles are not allowed on the skating surface.
The facility is open during normal park hours. Skaters must wear a helmet and protective elbow and knee pads while skating. Additional rules are posted at the facility.
Skate Park Admission:
The skate park is free.
